National Tobacco Control Cell, Health Services Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh celebrated World No Tobacco Day, 31 May 2017 with variety of events including press briefing on 29th May, rally and discussion meeting with giving award for tobacco control works etc. 
On WNTD discussion at Osmani Memorial Auditorium at 12 pm on 31 May 2017, Mr. Mohammad Nasim MP, Hon'ble Minister for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare spoke as chief guest. While Mr. Jahid Malek MP, Hon'ble State Minister for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare spoke as special guest.
Dr N. Paranietharan, Country Representative of WHO Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Director General, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) spoke as guest of honor. Mr. Harun Ur Rashid KHan, Additional Secretary, Health Services Division presided this meeting and Ms. Parveen Sultana, Joint Secretary, Health Services Division has given welcome speech.
