‘Health Development Surcharge Management Committee’ meeting was held on 06.02.2019 at the conference room of MoHFW. Honorable Minister of Health Mr. Zahid Maleque, MP presided this meeting. Dr. Murad Hassan, MP & State Minister of Health; Prof. Dr. Pran Gopal Datta, Ex-Vice Chancellor of BSMMU, Prof. Dr. Arup Ratan Choudhury, Senior consultant at the dept. of Dentistry, BIRDEM; Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman Khan, Additional Secretary (PH & WH), Health Services division and other distinguished government official from different ministry and also member of this committee were present in this meeting.

National Health Development Surcharge Management Policy 2017 was approved at the cabinet meeting (headed by Honorable Prime Minister and all ministers/state ministers and deputy ministers were part of this meeting) on 16 October 2017. Therefore NTCC provided 77 sets of this policy including all attachments, a summary policy, a press brief and one page bullet information on surcharge to the cabinet division for initiate approval process. This is a huge achievement of NTCC and other non-government organizations.
